Our Story

Based on the outcomes of six modular projects that ran from 2016-2019 across the Mediterranean, we developed the ETU Initiative with a set of open-source tools for citizens and communities to accelerate the energy transition in their regions: the ETU Toolbox. The modular projects – carried out in the framework of the Interreg MED Renewable Energy project – supported rural and island municipalities to implement renewable energy projects, while identifying and finding solutions to common challenges. Building on the knowledge of our first project phase, we are now sharing the ETU Toolbox with municipalities across the Mediterranean, supporting them to accelerate the energy transition in their region, as part of our ETU Initiative.
