Municipalities in B&H face challenges related to high energy consumption in public buildings and infrastructure, rising energy costs, and the need to gradually align with European climate and energy objectives. However, many local authorities still lack structured tools and practical methodologies that can support the assessment of current energy use, identification of efficiency opportunities, and development of more strategic local energy policies.
The selected municipality provided a suitable testing environment as it reflects the typical conditions faced by many local authorities in the region.
Testing the LOGREENER Toolkit allowed exploring how the solution can support municipalities in analysing their current energy situation, identifying potential measures for improving energy efficiency, and strengthening local capacities for planning and implementing sustainable energy actions. The pilot also aimed to gather feedback from local users to ensure that the toolkit can be effectively applied in real municipal planning processes and adapted to the needs of similar territories.
